York Virga. Aug 5. 1773

Dr Sir

I have not troubled you with a
line since rect. of your favour of the 15h. March
You there mention the manner in wch. you
paid old Sargent wch. was quite right & what
I am obliged to you for. I have again spoke to
Mr Reynolds & have deld. him Mr. Mitchells ori-
-ginal Letter wch. he proposes sending to you   if the
probats are insisted on he will send them afterwds.

We have had very little Rain in this part of the
Country since the gt. of June of course our Crops are
very far from promising but in some other parts
I am told they are seasonable When the people meet
from difft. parts of the Country we shall be able
to form a better Accot. of the matter   this Meeting
was by agreement to have been the 25h. of last Month
but as yet there are but few in Wbg. Your Markets
have been so far from encouraging for Sale of
Tobacco this Year that I have not ship'd any abd.
the Virginia   I think must give a little to Robinson
