Virginia 17th September 1768
Mr. John Norton & Son
Gentleman,
This will serve to acquaint you of the
Death of my Dear Father who departed this Life the 24th of Octr.
last after a very short Illness & on his Estate Letters Administration
were Granted Mr. John Robinson & myself as will more
fully appear by the inclosed Certificate.
The Ballance now remaining in your hands has
become the property of Mr. John Robinson & self which you'll
please to divide and place to each of our Credit in a new
Account also the Nett proceed of his Hhd, Tobo. shipt in the
Burwell Capt. Thomas Lilly which were made on the Plantation
and belongeth to the Estate.
Inclosed is a Bill of Lading for the above two Hhds
Tobo. & an Invoice for a few Goods which you'll be pleased
to Insure & Ship when Convenient these Good are to be
Charged to myself in the new Account
You'll be pleased to send an Account Current by
your next & in the mean time I remain,
